Selencia's philosophy is, self-care is NOT selfish. You cannot take care of anyone else if you do not take care of yourself. She believes that everyone deserves to be their best and that you can't do that if you don't FEEL your best. Your body's infrastructure needs to constantly be maintained if you want to be your best. Her experience is that massage therapy is a great way to maintain your body's well-being and get back your total peace of mind. Her experience has been that by helping to relieve and alleviate physical pain and discomfort, massage therapy can ease emotional turmoil by shifting your focus to other aspects of your life. Very few things in life are better than helping people through this metamorphosis.
Selencia has been practicing for over five years, working at massage clinics, a chiropractic office, and a day spa. This experience has allowed her to interact with different levels of massage therapy, massage instructors, and clientele. She's had the opportunity to work with pain management and rehab patients, guide post-op cosmetic surgery recipients through lymphatic massage, and help numerous clients relax and decompress from a stressful work week. With her vast knowledge of massage therapy, she strives to do her best in every massage to help you be and feel your best!
Myeisha's philosophy is, if the body is well, the mind will be well; and if the mind is well, the body will be well. She practices massage therapy because she looks at the mind and body as one, and when one is not in order, the other is not at full potential. She believes that we currently live in a time where we are so busy that we are mentally and physically tightly wound. Therefore, many people do not take the time to let their minds or bodies rest or heal. She believes that no two bodies are the same and require differing approaches. Myeisha can accommodate her client's unique needs by integrating modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, cupping, and hot stones. She enjoys helping her clients relax to feel what their bodies need to heal for their ultimate mental and physical well-being.
Myeisha has been practicing massage for more than 9 years and became licensed in massage therapy in 2013. As an instructor, she fully understands the body and how it works, giving her a deep understanding of her clients' needs. She began her journey as a stay-at-home mom and later found a career in helping others feel their best. She is very passionate about her work and enjoys helping others. She enjoys arts and crafts and is happy to have found a way to work with her hands.
